This weeks top song for wedding dance lessons near you!

Frank Sinatra: Love and Marriage

Style: American smooth/Foxtrot

Difficulty: Easy

It’s obvious why this is a popular wedding dance song: the title.

I use this song not just for wedding dance lessons, but for my ballroom dancing lessons and dancing lessons in general. Mainly because of the beat and style of dancing which can be varied. You can dance Foxtrot, Social Foxtrot, American Smooth Foxtrot, or Slow Rhythm to this song, all of which are incredibly popular in my dancing lessons, especially my ballroom dancing lessons for adults.

For wedding dances, particularly the first dance, the length of this song is also its strength. At only 2:37 long, it is an ideal length of time for a wedding dance because it isn’t too long. It is also a very happy song to dance to, and the dance styles mentioned above are very easy to learn during dancing lessons, so you can learn your wedding dance very quickly.

The American Smooth Foxtrot, Slow rhythm and Social Foxtrot dances also contain many flashy looking moves, which are actually very easy to learn. So when I choreograph a first dance and then deliver the dancing lessons, it is incredibly enjoyable for the wedding couple because they can learn something very nice, very quickly.

Also, in my ballroom dancing lessons and my dancing lessons in general, my social dancers love dancing to this style of music. It is jazzy and fun, and you can dance to this style in your living room, a bar, or anywhere space is limited, which is another reason this style of dancing is so good for wedding dance lessons for a first dance.

The lyrics can be found below…

Love and marriage, love and marriage, Go together like a horse and carriage. This I tell ya, brother, you can't have one without the other. Love and marriage, love and marriage, It's an institute you can't disparage. Ask the local gentry and they will say it's elementary. Try, try, try to separate them, it's an illusion. Try, try, try and you only come to this conclusion: Love and marriage, love and marriage, Go together like a horse and carriage. Dad was told by mother you can't have one You can't have none. You can't have one without the other. [Musical interlude] Try, try, try to separate them, it's an illusion. Try, try, try and you only come to this conclusion: Love and marriage, love and marriage, Go together like a horse and carriage. Dad was told by mother you can't have one (You can't have none.) You can't have one without the other.
