Ed Sheeran never disappoints with his lyrics. I use his songs a lot for wedding dance lessons and my dance lessons in general.
For this song, I can either teach you a 4-beat routine for your wedding dance (4 beat is a dance style I created with is incredibly easy to learn as a dance style, but looks very elegant) or you can learn to Viennese Waltz for you wedding dance.
Viennese Waltz is the hardest Ballroom dance style to learn, but the most beautiful, so couples who want wedding dance lessons and who want to learn to dance the Viennese Waltz for their first dance, are in for a challenge, but which will have a massive pay off.
When I deliver dance lessons on the Viennese Waltz, I always do this in private dance lessons because it is so difficult. If I teach Viennese Waltz in a dance class, it is almost always a specialist workshop or dance class where we focus heavily on technique which is vital for this dance style to work.
For my wedding dance lessons, I would recommend at least 6 months to learn a Viennese waltz for your first dance. It won’t disappoint, and by mastering this tricky dance style, your balance, fitness, and strength with vastly improve as well. For the 4-beat style, I can teach you a simple but elegant dance style in around 6 dance lessons near you.
The lyrics to this song are also ideal for a first dance. The very first line, ‘I found a love, for me’ says it all about this song, as well as lines like ‘Oh, I never knew you were someone waiting for me’ and ‘I found a woman, stronger than any I know’ are just a few of the amazing lyrics which make this song perfect for a wedding dance.
So, not only are the lyrics amazing for a wedding dance, but the fact that you can learn the hardest dance (Viennese Waltz) or the easiest dance (4-beat) make this song accessible to all couples who want dance lessons for their wedding.
